Originally, the ceramic image of the Buddha was placed in Nagoya Castle, and after the war, it was dedicated to Fukusenji Temple. It is said that Mitsutomo Tokugawa, the lord of Nagoya Castle, built this statue to mourn his deceased mother. When it was in Nagoya, the statue was complete, including the parts from the neck down, but now where has the body gone?
